AMAT VICTORIA CURAM
Guild Motto: Victory favors those who endure through pain
Thanks for joining Veni Vidi Vici (VVV)! We hope you will enjoy your time in the guild.
- Show respect to your fellow guildmates and all WOW players
- Use the guild’s bank resources appropriately and do not abuse them
- Provide help to others when you can
- Ask for help when you need it but know that it’s not always available when you ask
General guild behavior:
Our primary mission in VVV is to have fun and to enjoy the game. We are a casual guild based on friendship. VVV and WOW in general is a community of people and as with any community, mutual respect, camaraderie and support are key. Be fair and helpful with all you group with so VVV maintains a positive reputation throughout the server. We encourage you to always keep in mind that WOW is just a game. Sometimes things don’t go our way. A sense of humor and healthy perspective are great assets that will benefit us all.
As our guild bears a Latin name we used Latin words to denote rank:
- Magister = Guild Master
- Consul = Officer
- Primus = Class Lead
- Praetor = Raid Leader
- Legionare= Respected Veteran
- Tribune = Member
- Equestrian = Alt
- Plebeian = Recruit
Any new member will be a ‘Plebeian’ for at least 2 weeks to give us time to evaluate his/her abilities, behavior and to offer him/her the possibility to learn about our guild.
Once a member has achieved the status of ‘Tribune’ (full member), his/her alts will become ‘Equestrian’. This includes the alts of the Magister and Consul members.
The guild bank is available as a resource to help all guild members achieve their objectives faster. There is structured access to the guild’s bank.
Trade Goods: All members (Tribunes and above) can withdraw up to 2 stacks.
More Trade Goods: All members (Tribunes and above) can withdraw up to 2 stacks.
Special Items: These resources are more precious and require the Magister or a Consul to withdraw. To request something from this tab you need to make a post in the forums with a request for what you need and why. One of the officers will review your request and get back with you.
Raid Consumables: This tab is for raid consumables. Only the officers or Preators can access this tab. To request something from this tab talk to an officer and they will help you out.
Enchants: These materials are for high end enchants, resist gear, or other crafting and item enhancements. To request something from this tab you need to make a post in the forums with a request for what you need and why. One of the officers will review your request and get back with you.
Gold: The guild’s gold serves a number of purposes: to help tanks repair after guild sponsored raids, to help people re-spec if the guild asks them to do so, and (only if needed) to help guild members with a portion of their mount costs. In the case of assistance to buy a mount, this would be considered a loan and we’d ask it to be repaid over no more than 3 months so other guildmates can receive similar help in the future. To request gold you need to make a post in the forums detailing how much you need and why. One of the officers will review your request and get back with you.
Be considerate of other guild members in your bank withdrawals (for example, hording a majority of the healing potions would not be cool!). Before you withdraw, make sure you have the appropriate level and/or skill to use the item. Over time, please deposit items in the bank that are approximately equivalent to what you withdraw.
Any withdrawal of resources for the sole purpose of selling them for personal gain will immediately result in the player’s exclusion from the guild.
Ventrilo is a voice over IP program that we use for communicating with our guild/party members during raids/groups or just to connect. The client can be downloaded from www.ventrilo.com
Once you download the Vent Client program you can log onto our server as follows:
- server: nickel.typefrag.com
- port: 35857
- password: conquer
You can always invite players from other guilds to join our Vent server when you group with them. The same guidelines regarding respecting other players applies to voice communication in vent or WOW’s chat channel.
Our guild will try to accommodate as many members as possible in the raids we run. To help us plan and be fair to all, we ask you to sign up for the raids you want to attend. Sign ups for raids can be done by clicking on the calendar portion on this website.
For raids that are progression runs, please ensure you have the appropriate gear to successfully contribute to the run before signing up. Having one or more undergeared player can result in a very difficult and frustrating run. The raid leader has the latitude to accept or deny any player based on the composition of that raid group and the difficulty of bosses they will face.
Please come to the raid having read up on all bosses that will be encountered and bring all equipment and consumables you’ll need. Information for required raid items can be found in the General Info of the Raid forums. We also ask that you have headphones and can access our vent server. This will assist in hearing directions during difficult bosses. If you’ve signed up and can’t attend, please go to the website to cancel your participation. If it’s last minute, let the raid leader or others in the group know as a courtesy if you can.
The priority of who attends will be based on the following:
- First - Players within needed classes who meet the minimums and who have signed up via our website.
- Second - Guild members in the needed classes who are online and meet the minimums but who did not sign up. This includes guild member’s alts who are not currently in the guild.
- Third - If the raid group is strong enough, the raid leader may elect to accept guild members who do not meet the minimums. They would first go to those who signed up and second to other guild members who are online at the time.
- Fourth - The raid leader may elect to complete the raid with PUG members from outside the guild if all the above methods have been exhausted.
VVV uses the Suicide Kings system for equal loot distribution in raids. To learn more about the VVV Suicide system please follow this link. If you have any questions about this system feel free to talk to an officer.
Enforcing the rules:
No matter how friendly or casual we try to be in our approach of the game, there will always be people who do not comply with our guild’s philosophy.
If you have any concerns within the game or with your fellow guild members, do not hesitate to talk to the Magister or a Consul (preferably the one who knows you best). We will try to mediate all conflicts in an impartial manner for the interest of all parties. It will be at the discretion of the officers to judge the gravity of a particular situation and take appropriate action. The Magister or a Consul will always talk with you about any concerns with your behavior before taking action.
We are an open guild and welcome your ideas about how we can make our guild better to improve your gaming experience. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to post them on the guild’s website or talk to the Magister or a Consul.
